Doping Is More Than Cheating

This article about steroids and athletes is written by Dr. Richard T. Bosshardt in the Orlando Sentinel. We can believe this source because he is a doctor, who has done some research on steroids. Bosshardt says, "It is cheating, pure and simple, and that is wrong."

Dr. Bosshardt argues that steroids are not fair because if you put your effort into something you don't need steroids. For example Mark McGuire used steroids and he hit 583 home runs throughout his carreer and Hank Aaron hit 755 home runs all time without using steroids. That shows that hard work pays off, instaed of using steroids to take the easy way.

The author's purpose for writing this article is also to inform you about the negative affects that steroids can have on your health. It can cause "cancers,  premature heart diseases, mood disorders including uncrontolled episodes of rage (roid rage), and more."
